Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves putting needles through the skin a precise points to stimulate the body's natural healing process and release pain relieving chemicals.
I use a scientifically supported version of this technique to manage pain in pets. It is is safe and natural form of pain relief.
Pain Assessment
The sound of a pet in chronic pain is not crying out and whimpering. It is much more subtle with changes to their behaviour and mobility, and is often overlooked as the pet 'getting older'.
I offer extended consultations so that we can take our time in finding out how your pet is feeling and where it hurts so that a management plan can be made.
Clinic Services
Full Pain Assessment and Management Referral
This service is designed to for me to the lead with your pet's pain assessment and management.
This can be both a self referral or via your primary vet, physio or behaviourist.
Acupuncture Only
If you just want to add acupuncture to your pet's existing treatment plan then this option is available.
This is a limited service with your primary care vet remaining the lead in your pet's case
Treatments Available
Acupucture
Simple 'dry needling' treatment where ultra-fine needles are inserted through the skin
Laser Acupucture
Not true acupuncture as the skin is no punctured. This needle-free technique use low level laser energy to stimulate acupuncture points achieving a similar effect to dry needling
Electroacupunture
An addition to regular acupuncture - a mild electrical current is applied to the needles to enhance their stimulation.

The goal of using acupuncture through the chronic pain clinic is to deliver bespoke management of pain in pets.
